MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Morgantown man charged in the May 2024 murder of Kim Osborne will go on trial in April.

Joeseph Nevera, 52, was in a relationship with Osborne and was in the process of moving out of his home.
On the day of her disappearance, witnesses said the two were seen arguing about taking things out of the home.
In November of 2024, Osborne was found in a shallow grave a little more than two miles from the home of Nevera.
The investigation determined Osborne told witnesses Nevera took her to the site of a shallow grave and told her she would end up there if she didn’t change her ways.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation with the help of the Pittsburgh office of the FBI, West Virginia State Police, the Pennsylvania State Police Remains Detection K9 Division, and the Forensic Anthropology Team from Mercyhurst University.
The trial is scheduled to begin April 14.
