National Guard alerts the public about fake Morgantown event

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Officials with the West Virginia National Guard are not having any public events this weekend on Army Band Way.

Public Affairs Officer Bo Wriston said a flyer promoting ramp themed foods, wine tasting, live music, and train rides is false.

Officials said they want to make sure members of the public don’t come to the Morgantown Armory for any type of festival because none are planned.
