State police investigating reported robbery in Hamlin

HAMLIN, W.Va. — State police are investigating a reported robbery in Lincoln County.

Troopers said an assistant manager at the 7-Eleven in Hamlin reported they were trying to make a bank deposit at City National Bank Tuesday night when they were grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground.

The worker said the man grabbed some money out of the banker’s bag and ran away on foot.

The man was wearing dark khaki pants, the worker said.

State police are continuing their investigation.
