CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Emergency crews are on the scene where a car is dangling over the side of the elevated interstate in Charleston.
The wreck happened at around 5 p.m. Friday just past the I-77/I-64 eastbound split near the West Virginia Lottery building.
A passenger car nearly tumbled off the interstate. The wreck left it penned against a light pole with three wheels off the side of the interstate wall.
Charleston police and firefighters are on the scene. Injuries were reported.
Traffic is backed up for several miles heading into Charleston on a busy travel day ahead of Memorial Day.
Traffic was moving slowly through the area by 5:45 p.m. Friday.
