Sexual assault case against former youth pastor continued to October

WESTON, W.Va – A former youth pastor accused of sexually abusing multiple young girls has two cases continued during a Wednesday hearing in Lewis County Circuit Court.

John Radcliff (WVRJA)

Radcliff was indicted in July 2024 for sexually abusing multiple young girls beginning at 3 or 4 and continuing through the age of 12. He is accused of forcing the girls to perform sex acts and sexually assaulted them from 1987 through 2003. Reports indicate some of the girls were related to Radcliff.

Also in 2024, Radcliff was arrested and charged with more than 100 sexual assault charges against children in Lewis, Harrison, Braxton and Nicholas Counties.

Kathy Radcliff, his ex-wife has been charged with being an accessory after victims reported the abuse. Her case was also continued.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for October 2 and jury selection could begin October 19 and the trial could get started October 20.
