PINCH, W.Va. — Kanawha County deputies are looking for a suspect after three people were injured in a stabbing Wednesday afternoon.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said they’re seeking Kelcey Nicholas, 42, of Clay County. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Dutch Ridge Road near Pinch at around 12:40 p.m.
Deputies found three people — two women and one man — with stab wounds at the scene. All of them were alert and talking, deputies said.
Deputies said they learned the victims and Nicholas were in a pickup truck when the incident began. According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office release, Nicholas reportedly began choking one of the victims, his girlfriend. When the other man in the truck attempted to intervene, Nicholas allegedly stabbed him, his girlfriend, and the second woman. Authorities said Nicholas fled on foot.
Nicholas is charged with three counts of malicious wounding.
