Toyota West Virginia’s Biodiversity Park to be featured on national television program

BUFFALO, W.Va. — Parts of Putnam County will be featured in a national television broadcast this weekend.

Toyota West Virginia’s Biodiversity Park in Buffalo will be highlighted in the next episode of Earth with John Holden, which will air Sunday on Bloomberg Television.

Toyota West Virginia officials said the segment was filmed in the summer last year.

Officials said the feature will include how Toyota is supporting local wildlife and pollinators, along with a look at its on-site beekeeping. The segment will also focus on the Gold Star Mother’s Apple Orchard, which honors fallen military veterans and their families, and the plant’s five-acre solar technology.

Toyota also said in a release that the episode will emphasize the work of “lambscapers,” the sheep herd that are stationed around the solar panels.

Toyota said the biodiversity park is free and open for the public to visit.
