Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced plans by PowerFlo Solutions to invest $20 million and establish advanced manufacturing operations in Wood County.
Officials say the development will result in at least 120 new full-time jobs while bolstering the state’s advanced manufacturing and energy economy sectors.
PowerFlo Solutions, led by West Virginia native Jim Vuksic, manufactures critical electrical infrastructure that supports data centers, artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies.
“What we’re trying to do is just keep jobs here so we don’t have to leave the area to go to work and support a family,” Vuksic said at today’s announcement in Williamstown.
The company, which is based in Marietta, Ohio, designs and builds equipment like power distribution units, static transfer switches, dry-type transformers and custom control panels to keep computing operations running efficiently.
The governor said the development positions West Virginia at the forefront of one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.

“Today’s announcement is another sign that our strategy is working,” Morrisey said. “When you focus on the fundamentals, you create an environment where businesses want to invest. PowerFlo’s decision to grow in West Virginia is another vote of confidence in our state’s future.”
PowerFlo will acquire the 240,000-square-foot Hino manufacturing facility in Williamstown.
Hino, which had been at the Williamstown location, established an assembly plant in Mineral Wells in 2019.
“For a long time, people used to look at the Hino facility and wonder if manufacturing would ever return,” Morrisey said.
“Today we have that answer, and it’s a great answer. This 240,000 square foot manufacturing facility will once again be a place where West Virginians build world class products, earn great paychecks and strengthen the economy of the Mid-Ohio Valley.”
The State of West Virginia worked closely with PowerFlo throughout the project, including making an adjacent 11-acre parcel available to support the company’s long-term expansion plans. Officials say the additional property provides room for future growth while reinforcing the company’s commitment to investing in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The governor emphasized the importance of investing in basics like infrastructure and workforce training.
“We have more announcements coming this year,” Morrisey said. “We’re having a lot of good conversations.”
