Holley, new delegate, takes oath of office in House Chamber

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The newest member of the House of Delegates took the oath of office Tuesday.

Aaron Holley, who was recently named to the House to replace Del. Daniel Linville, R-Cabell, was sworn-in during a ceremony in the House Chamber.

Holley, of Milton, narrowly defeated Linville for the GOP nomination for the 22nd District seat in the May Primary Election. Linville recently resigned his House seat to work for Gov. Patrick Morrisey. Morrisey chose Holley to replace him.

“Everybody in this room has known me from the beginning,” Holley said as his wife and two children looked on. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you, and I promise to do my best for everyone in this room and beyond.”

Holley works for CSX.

Del. Holley is currently unopposed in the November General Election.
