SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — South Charleston Police say a personal dispute between two individuals escalated into a stabbing.
Steffone Hawkins, 37, of Hurricane is charged with malicious wounding in the stabbing of the victim near the Southmoor Apartment complex in South Charleston. The incident happened in front of the apartments around 7:15 Wednesday evening.
Police haven’t released the name of the 50 year old victim, but said the wounds were not life threatening.
Hawkins remains in the South Central Regional Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash only bond.
