PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va – A Buffalo woman is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after her vehicle was struck by a train in Putnam County.
West Virginia State Police troopers responded to the incident in the Cross Creek area just before 3 p.m. Saturday. Misty Grady, 55, of Buffalo, was the sole occupant of the involved SUV, and preliminary investigation indicates she failed to yield to an oncoming train before hitting the front right side of the locomotive.
She was transported by Putnam EMS and was not believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The West Virginia State Police Winfield Detachment is investigating.
