Data breach reported by Grafton City Hospital officials

GRAFTON, W.Va. — Officials at Grafton City Hospital believe some personal information may have been compromised during a recent data breach.

The hospital has issued a notice of a data security incident after an email account was compromised May 6, 2026.

After the incident hospital officials secured the network, engaged additional third-party experts, enhanced its data security, and commenced an investigation that determined certain personal or medical information could have been subject to unauthorized activity.

Officials said there does not appear to be any misuse and those affected have been contacted and offered free credit monitoring and other services.
