BELINGTON, W.Va. — One person has been arrested following an assault at Belington pizza parlor Thursday.

Deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department were called to Hometown Pizza and found Robert Knight, 33, being held at gunpoint by another suspect. When ordered to drop the weapon the suspect did immediately.
The armed suspect identified himself as the victim of an attack initiated by Knight and said he had been filming what he thought was an intoxicated driver. This was reported to a local police officer who left to investigate.
The victim told deputies when the officer left Knight approached him and he would “dust him.”
The victim retreated to his vehicle, but the doors had been locked. When the victim turned around Knight hit him in face causing two facial fractures.
During the struggle the victim has able to unlock the car and get a firearm and ordered Knight to the ground.
Knight has a prior battery charge in 2021 and was charged with assault and malicious assault in this incident.
He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with no bond.
