One dead, two injured in Kanawha County fire

KANWHA COUNTY, W.Va. — Authorities say a fire claimed the life of one Kanawha County resident and sent two more to the hospital.

The blaze broke out around 8:30 p.m. Friday on Witcher Creek Road near Belle.

Firemen arrived to find the home fully engulfed in fire. All three victims were in the house when the blaze broke out.

It took multiple crews several hours to get the fire out.

The names of the victims have not been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
