Juvenile in custody after Marion County pursuit

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Charges are pending against a juvenile who police allege led them on a pursuit early Thursday morning.

A deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department first encountered the vehicle stopped in the middle of East Grafton Road at 12:30 a.m. When deputies approached the vehicle the juvenile fled.

The juvenile crashed into a creek along Mudlick Run Road after a pursuit with deputies.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The juvenile is now in the custody of his parents and charges are pending.

Deputies continue to investigate the incident.
