CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police have identified the man struck and killed by a train Sunday afternoon in Charleston.
Alex Thompson, 38, of Charleston, was hit by a CSX train near Chesterfield Ave. and South Park Road at around 3 p.m.
“The Charleston Police Department extends its condolences to Mr. Thompson’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” a CPD news release said.
