SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A child was struck and killed by a vehicle in South Charleston Monday night.
The accident was reported to Metro 911 at around 7:26 p.m. Monday. The child was reportedly struck by a vehicle near the MacCorkle Avenue and Rock Lake Drive intersection. Reports initially indicated the child was in critical condition.
Metro 911 said the road would be closed for several hours following the accident.
The circumstances of the crash have not been released. An investigation is underway.
