BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — A Mercer County jury has convicted a Bluefield man in the January 2024 shooting death of a woman.
Cory Callen, 36, was found guilty Friday of first-degree murder in the death of Leona Edwards. The investigation showed Edwards had filed a domestic violence petition against Callen before the shooting.
Callen shot Edwards mulltiple times as she was getting out of her car near her residence on Gardner Loop Road in Mercer County.
Callen will be sentenced at a later date.
