Cabell County Commission chooses interim clerk following Caserta’s retirement

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Cabell County has an interim clerk while the search for a full-time replacement takes place.

Grace Taylor

The county commission tabbed Grace Taylor to serve in the role temporarily following Scott Caserta’s retirement this week. Taylor, a seven-year worker in the office, moves up from her previous role as chief deputy clerk.

The permanent replacement will serve for the next two years once commissioners make their choice. The county clerk seat will appear on 2028 ballots.
