After a second straight Big 12 defeat, the question is unavoidable: Can the Mountaineers find enough defense to turn their season around?

The Dukes scored 28 points in the second period and cruised to victory.

West Virginia scored in the 12th minute, but couldn't muster another goal, while the Gamecocks got even in the 71st minute and had what looked to be a late game-winning goal waved off.

One week after allowing 41 points and 609 yards in a home loss to Oklahoma State, the Cyclones gained 577 yards and scored two late touchdowns to prevail.
