LOGAN, W.Va. — The principal at Logan Middle School has been removed from his job after being charged with child neglect and public intoxication.

Logan police said they responded to the middle school Tuesday and met with a member of the Logan County Board of Education. They began an investigation and later arrested Bryan Kidd.
A statement from Logan County Schools said Kidd has been removed from his duties “pending further review and consideration of further action.”
The district said the safety of its students and staff are its highest priorities.
“Logan County Schools expects all employees to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and takes allegations of misconduct seriously,” the statement said.
Kidd was arraigned in Logan County Magistrate Court.
