West Virginia quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. threw for 464 yards with three touchdown passes and two additional scores on the ground. It marks the most passing yards for a Mountaineer in eight seasons.

West Virginia made it five straight victories against the Bearcats.

West Virginia and the Bearcats both go to the ground often. The team that can limit the opponent's rushing attack better should have a major edge Saturday afternoon in Morgantown.

The Patriots scored 48 of the game's final 55 points, improving to 7-0.
