CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Breeze Airways is adding a new flight option from Charleston to South Florida.
The flight service from the West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) will begin on May 26 next year, with offerings on Wednesdays and Saturdays. While the flights include one stop, passengers won’t have to change plans, CRW officials said.

Yeager Airport Director and CEO Dominique Ranieri said this is a needed addition.
“Breeze’s expanding service continues to create more travel options for passengers throughout our region,” Ranieri said. “Fort Lauderdale service gives travelers another convenient way to reach South Florida, while Breeze’s broader schedule provides additional opportunities to connect to destinations beyond our nonstop markets.”
Meanwhile, Breeze’s flights from Yeager to the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will be paused from January 3 next year through May. CRW officials said the pause is due to “low-demand” during that time of year. According to CRW, the Breeze service from Charleston to Newark will resume in May, twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.
“We know Newark service is important to our passengers, and we have heard the questions surrounding the upcoming seasonal pause,” Ranieri said. “We want our travelers to know that the route itself has not been permanently canceled. We will continue to work closely with Breeze as schedules are finalized.”
