WWE brings Smackdown to Charleston for the first time ever

CHARLESTON, W.Va – The Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment meet inside the Vandalia Health Coliseum tonight as WWE Smackdown arrives in the Capital City.

The show marks the first time Smackdown has ever emanated from Charleston and WWE’s first event in the city since 2023.

WWE is hosting a highlight-packed show for Smackdown’s Charleston debut, headlined by three championship matches. In the main event, Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn puts his title on the line against WWE United States Champion Trick Williams.

The card also features Nikki Bella challenging Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s Championship and Rey Fenix defending the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints.

Ahead of his title match, Saints joined fellow WWE Superstar Blake Monroe at Vandalia Health CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital on Thursday to visit children receiving care. CAMC Women and Children’s staff received a custom WWE championship belt as part of the company’s Season of Giving holiday campaign.

Doors open at the Vandalia Health Coliseum at 6 pm, with the show beginning at 7:30 and the national television broadcast starting at 8.
