CHEAT LAKE, W.Va. — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department reports a hiker found a body in the Coopers Rock State Forest near Morgantown over the weekend.
Deputies said the remains that were discovered at around 2:44 p.m. Saturday were human. They were transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
No other information has been released at this time.
