Charleston resident Anthony Reale defeated Matt Hicks in a three hole playoff to win the West Virginia Amateur golf tournament. Both shot even par for the tournament. During the playoff holes Reale shot even par for all three, while Hicks only hit par for the first and then bogeyed the final two. Reale was tied for the lead with Jared Jones going into the final round. Both were two under par heading into Thursday’s final round. Jones finished four over for the tournament. Twelve-time champion Pat Carter finished three over par for the tournament.
