Kanawha teenager missing since Sunday found

UPDATE: A Kanawha County teenager who went missing after a multi-vehicle pileup Sunday night near St. Albans is back home. 

Police say Lindsey Bledsoe, 17, of Scott Depot, was found Monday night. A Kanawha County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the teenager on Lee Street in Charleston.

Police say Bledsoe was speeding along Route 817 around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when she lost control of her car and crashed into a parked Appalachian Electric Power truck at the Impact Body Shop. That truck then slammed into several other vehicles.

Those at the body shop say four vehicles were totaled and two others damaged. Bledsoe’s car caught on fire. Total damage was estimated at around $50,000 

Bledsoe ran from the scene and was not seen again until Monday night.

There was no word if charges will be filed in connection with the crash and Bledsoe running from the scene.

 

 

PREVIOUS: A Kanawha County mother is concerned because she hasn’t heard from her daughter after she was involved in a multi-vehicle accident late Sunday night on Route 817 near St. Albans.

Lindsey Bledsoe, 17, wrecked her vehicle into a parked truck at the Impact Body Shop. That truck that then slammed into several other vehicles. Those at the body shop say four vehicles were totaled and two others damaged. Bledsoe’s car caught on fire.

Bledsoe ran from the scene. Her mother, Denise Stallard, hasn’t spoken with her and she says she’s concerned about possible injuries and her daughter’s safety.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating
