HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Cabell County man has been found guilty in the shooting death of his wife.
A jury early Wednesday afternoon convicted Harry Lee Smith of second degree murder in the July 30, 2011, murder.
Constance “Kay Kay” Smith, 62, was found dead inside the couple’s home on Birkewood Road near East Pea Ridge.
Since the beginning of the case, Harry Smith has claimed the shooting was accidental, but prosecutors argued it was intentional .
The jury began deliberating the case Tuesday afternoon.
