NEWBURG, W.Va. — An accused meth maker in Preston County is back in jail on similar charges.
Preston County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an animal complaint in Newburg Friday, Dec. 30 when they discovered signs of a methamphetamine lab.
After searching his Chestnut Ridge Heights home, Christopher Lyons, 33, was arrested and taken to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on felony charges.
Together, the Newburg Volunteer Fire Department, the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, the Fellowsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department, and the Preston County Hazardous Materials Team helped stabilize the scene after the discovery of the active drug lab.
Lyons was free on bond after a May 5, 2016 arrest on a drug charge.
