Police: Man takes own life at Martinsburg Walmart

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A man is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside of a store.

Martinsburg Police responded to the Walmart along Foxcroft Avenue at around 8 Wednesday night. Upon arrival, officers found the victim’s body in a rear bathroom of the store.

No foul play is suspected. Berkeley County’s medical examiner also responded to the scene.

The store was open and occupied by customers at the time of the incident.

The man’s identity has not been released by authorities.
