Raleigh County daycare worker charged with child abuse

BECKLEY, W.Va. — An employee of a daycare facility in Raleigh County has been charged with child abuse, following an incident in which an infant was injured.

Chloe Anna Graham of Beckley was charged with child abuse causing bodily injury, after she reportedly squeezed the child to the point of creating bruising. The alleged incident occurred in June at the Bullfrogs and Butterflies Daycare in Beckley.

Deputies responding to the criminal complaint said Graham stated during an interview that she became overwhelmed and caused the injury.

Graham is being held at Southern Regional Jail under a $75,000 bond.
