Man wanted in several states person of interest in West Virginia deadly shooting

MILTON, W.Va. — State police say a man wanted for shootings–some deadly—in other states is a person of interest in a murder that took place in Milton earlier this week.

Police are looking for a man identified as Timothy Sargent. They believe he may be connected to this week’s death of David Martin, 62, of Milton.

Martin was shot Wednesday morning while driving on U.S. Route 60 through Milton. Police first thought the death was in connection with a vehicle crash but later discovered Martin had been shot.

Sargent is a suspect for shootings earlier this week in Ohio and Indiana.
