Man charged in Pocahontas County death

MARLINTON, W.Va. — State police have made an arrest in a Pocahontas County death.

Tanner Lee Moore (WVRJA)

Tanner Lee Moore, 25, is charged with killing Angela Garretson on July 3 in Marlinton.

Garretson was over the hill in a field. She had suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

State police said Moore came to the Marlinton detachment on Wednesday, July 6, and confessed to the crime.

He’s being held without bail in the Southern Regional Jail.
