MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Former Big East scoring champion and WVU guard Meg Bulger has joined the MetroNews broadcast team for next month’s Mountain East Conference Tournament and the WVSSAC Girls State Tournament.

Bulger will be on the video broadcast team for select games during the Mountain East Conference Tournament, including the women’s championship game on March 5. She will also be on the call for the Class AAA and Class AA title games at the WVSSAC Girls State Tournament. Bulger will join radio broadcasts leading up to Championship Saturday.

“We feel like Meg will bring a whole different prospective to our coverage of both tournaments as someone who has played the game and had great success at the highest levels of basketball, she will provide great insight. We are so excited to add her to the MetroNews team,” said MetroNews Vice President of Content Travis Jones.

Bulger has previously served as a color commentator and sideline reporter for broadcasts on ESPN, ESPNU, Fox Sports, and AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh.

She scored 1,665 points for the Mountaineers, good enough for fifth place on the WVU all-time scoring list when she graduated in 2008. Bulger is a native of Pittsburgh. She was a two-time Pennsylvania State Player of the Year at Oakland Catholic High School.

Bulger is a community relations liaison for Gamechanger and she has been the varsity basketball coach at Sacred Heart School since 2016.

MetroNews will provide video broadcast coverage of the MEC Tournament on AT&T Sportsnet on Friday, March 3 and Sunday, March 5. Radio broadcasts of all 28 games of the WVSSAC Girls State Tournament can be heard on MetroNews radio affiliates and at wvmetronews.com. Video stream broadcasts will be added for all four championship games.
