BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — One person is dead and two others are injured following a shooting in Mercer County.
According to Chief Dennis Dillow, the shooting happened in the Bluefield area near Pen Mar Avenue and View Avenue around 2 p.m. Friday.
Three people in total were transported to a local hospital. One person succumbed to their injuries. The severity of the injuries for the other two victims is unknown.
A car had also wrecked into a nearby building due to the shooting.
An investigation into the shooting is active.
