Man killed in Lincoln County shooting

BRANCHLAND, W.Va. — State police said a man was shot and killed by his uncle during an argument  Saturday afternoon in Lincoln County.

The fatal shooting occurred in a mobile home in Davidson Trailer Court in Branchland  at about 1:30 p.m.

Troopers have identified the victim as Austin Porter, 29, of Branchland. They arrested, his uncle, Hubert Porter, 42, of Barboursville, Saturday evening. He’s charged with murder.

Troopers are continuing their investigation.
