West Virginia fugitive apprehended in Dayton, Ohio

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia fugitive was apprehended on Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Reginald Korzell Moore Jr., 37, of St. Albans, was wanted out of Kanawha County for a Circuit Court capias warrant for the offense of strangulation.

Moore was apprehended at around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning by the U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.

Moore is incarcerated and will return back to West Virginia at a later date.

Moore had allegedly been running from authorities since July 2023, and investigators say he hid in various locations in West Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan.
