Nicholas County man charged with possession of child pornography

CRAIGSVILLE, W.Va. — A Nicholas County man is out on bond after being arrested on child pornography charges.

Ralph Zangari, 63, was arrested Friday, after an investigation found child pornography on a device that belonged to Zangari.

According to officials, on February 27, a trooper with the West Virginia State Police in the Summersville Detachment received a CPS referral about possible abuse at Linda Zangari’s Home Daycare.

West Virginia State Police Captain L.T. Goldie said the officer immediately started investigating the situation.

“His investigation turned up that on one of the electronic devices Mr. Zangari had once they got the download, it was determined that at least four child pornography images were determined on that device,” Goldie said.

He is charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

The investigation is ongoing.
