
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon, former WVU and Marshall players signed free agent deals with teams around the league.
Quarterback Garrett Greene, who is making the move to wide receiver, has signed with the NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Greene was WVU’s starting signal caller for two seasons. He tossed 36 touchdown passes and rushed for 28 more scores in his five seasons in Morgantown. Former WVU assistant coach Blaine Stewart is now on staff with the Buccaneers.
Long snapper Austin Brinkman has signed with the AFC South champion Houston Texans. Brinkman participated in the specialist showcase at the NFL Combine and he was also selected to compete in the Senior Bowl. Brinkman was a four-year starter for the Mountaineers.
Tight end Kole Taylor has been picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor played two seasons at WVU after transferring from LSU. He caught 78 passes for 892 yards and seven touchdowns in the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Defensive lineman Fatorma Mulbah has signed with the New York Jets. He played two seasons with the Mountaineers after starting his college career at Penn State. Mulbah made 75 tackles (7.5 for loss) at WVU.
TJ Jackson is headed northwest after signing with the Seattle Seahawks. In his lone season with the Mountaineers, the defensive lineman collected 31 tackles (11.5 for loss) and 4.5 sacks.
Cornerback Garnett Hollis Jr. has signed with the Tennessee Titans. He played one season at WVU after transferring in from Northwestern. Hollis Jr. collected 46 tackles in 2024.
Cabell Midland High School and Marshall graduate JJ Roberts has signed with the Buccaneers. After starting his college career at Wake Forest, Roberts played two seasons with the Thundering Herd. Roberts racked up 94 tackles last fall and he tied for the national lead with 14 pass breakups.
On Friday, Marshall’s Mike Green was selected by Baltimore in the second round of the draft and WVU’s Wyatt Milum was taken by Jacksonville in the third round.
