Elkins pastor charged with solicitation

ELKINS, W.Va. — A Randolph County pastor is charged with allegedly using a computer to solicit an underage girl.

The Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force alleges Kevin Curtis Jones, 33, of Elkins, the pastor at Summit Church, used a phone to seek a “clandestine relationship“ with the girl in December 2023,

According to the criminal complaint, the girl attended Jones’ church. She is now older than 18.

The charge against Jones is a felony. He was arrested Thursday. Bail was set at $50,000.
