Burnsville man killed in I-79 crash

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — State police have identified the driver killed in the Monday afternoon crash on Interstate 79 in Marion County.

Troopers said David Pardue, 47, of Burnsville, traveled over the left fog line and struck a safety barrier. The vehicle then crossed the passing lane and entered the right-hand lane, where it collided with a tractor-trailer.

Pardue died at the scene.

The collision occurred not far from the Marion-Monongalia county line.

No other injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
