HUNTINGTON, W.Va. –City of Huntington officials say they detected and responded to a cybersecurity incident Tuesday night.
According to a release, they said their monitoring systems had identified suspicious activity quickly and was able to immediately activate their response protocols.
The release said officials have been in contact with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and are working to investigate, contain, and remediate the situation.
Right now, they said it was too early to determine the full scope of the incident, however they assured residents that their systems worked like they were suppose to.
