HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – There is no verdict in the case of a former Cabell County band instructor accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old student.
A mistrial was declared in Cabell County Circuit Court on Friday after jurors could not reach a decision in the trial of Chad Fink. Fink faces more than 30 counts of sexual abuse and assault.
He worked as a band instructor in Cabell County Schools between 2014 and 2015 and was 27 years old when the abuse allegedly occurred.
Cabell County Prosecutor Jason Spears indicated the case will be retried with a status hearing set for March 14.
