CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County man faces more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty to planning a robbery from jail.
Antoine Miller, also known as “A2,” entered guilty pleas to charges of first-degree robbery and a second recidivist offense before Kanawha County Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers on Monday.
Miller admitted to helping set up a robbery that occurred in February 2025 when five people allegedly robbed and shot 25-year-old Ibin Harper under the guise of meeting to buy marijuana. Donovan Brown, Nyasha Claytor, Jaquise Jackson, and Kenneth Washington were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
Charleston police shot and killed an additional suspect, Disnime Mitchell, as the SWAT team attempted to take him into custody last March.
Miller stated that he helped plan the robbery over the phone from the South Central Regional Jail.
He was found not guilty in a separate robbery case last year in which he was accused of stealing a gun from a woman. A jury did find him guilty of intimidating a witness to that case.
Judge Akers scheduled Miller’s sentencing for May 4 at 1:30 p.m.
