Man arrested after allegedly making threats to Trump, Elkins mayor after being fired

ELKINS, W.Va. — A fired municipal employee in Randolph County has been charged after making against President Trump and Elkins Mayor Jerry Marco.

Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Elkins Fire Department Wednesday where Marco told them a former water department employee, Christopher Curtis, 44, threatened him and President Trump.

As a result of the threat a lockdown was ordered for all Elkins city offices.

Deputies got a warrant for the arrest of Curtis and an emergency ping was sent to his phone to help locate him.

Curtis was located at roughly 7 p.m. Wednesday along Route 42 in Grant County and charged with making terroristic threats.

He is being held in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail.
