WHITE HALL, W.Va. — A Marion County resident has been found after a multi-agency search was conducted on Thursday in the White Hall area.

Officials with Marion County 911 confirmed late Thursday afternoon that 66-year-old Mark Alan Cunningham, of Fairmont, was found after a Silver Alert was issued on Wednesday.
White Hall Police Department Deputy Chief Jakob Streyle confirmed to WAJR reporters that Cunningham was found alive near Country Club Estates late Thursday afternoon.
“Mr. Cunningham has been located alive and conscious off of Country Club Estates, off Satch Run Road in Whitehall, West Virginia, at approximately 5.30 p.m.,” Style said.
Streyle confirmed that a grid search took place on Wednesday and continued into the majority of Thursday before Cunningham was found. The search covered parts of Fairmont and White Hall, with reports stating he was last seen near the White Hall Walmart at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday when he was reported missing.
The search involved at least two K9 units from around the Marion County area.
“The search began on Wednesday when the missing persons report was filed, (the search was conducted) at city of Fairmont as well as the town of Whitehall,” Streyle said.
The search included troopers with the West Virginia State Police as well as a half dozen Marion County agencies who joined the White Hall Police Department’s efforts over the past couple of days. The Grafton Fire Department K9 team and K9 Star Services also took part in search efforts.
