NWS posts several watches, warnings to begin expected busy weather week

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has issued several watches and warnings to begin what’s expected to be an active weather week.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued from an area stretching roughly from Parkersburg through Clarksburg and north to Morgantown.

The NWS has placed 30 counties under a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. Monday. The counties stretched from Fayette to Harrison.

Most all of the state is under a flood watch through Friday morning.
