Those against Flock cameras going door-to-door in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Those with concerns about flock security cameras are doing what’s called a Rolling Rally Against Flock cameras in Huntington.

Door-to-door canvassing began Friday and will continue Saturday.

Organizers said the effort is “a city-wide canvass aimed at collecting signatures to put a ban on third-party mass-surveillance on the ballot.”

Meanwhile, Huntington Mayor Patrick Farrell has released an updated proposed ordinance on how flock cameras will be used in Huntington. Huntington City Council approved a contract with Flock earlier this summer.

Huntington City Council’s next meeting is Monday at 7:30 p.m.
