GLENVILLE, W.Va. — Glenville State University’s new stadium will be dedicated tonight as the Pioneer football team begins their 2026 home schedule.
The Ike and Sue Morris Stadium is the new home for the Pioneers, who face Millersville University at 6 p.m. Glenville State dropped its season opener last week, 42-7, to Elon. New head coach Jake Casteel will also make his home coaching debut Thursday night.

Glenville State President Dr. Mark Manchin said the new stadium represents a significant moment in the area.
“This is more than the opening of a new stadium,” Manchin said. “It represents the continued growth of Glenville State University and the strong connection between our university and the Glenville community. We are excited to welcome everyone to campus to celebrate this important milestone with us.”
The stadium is part of the Morris Family Health and Fitness Complex, which is in progress on the Glenville State campus. According to university officials, the complex will assist in rural health care needs in the state, along with giving Glenville State students in health science programs a “state-of-the-art academic facility.”

“We cannot wait to get things going in the new facility,” Glenville State Athletic Director Jessie Skiles said. “Here at Glenville, we are incredibly blessed with the facilities that we have, and the Morris Family Health & Fitness Complex is the next major structure in this amazing Pioneer transformation.”
The stadium will be dedicated at 5:45 p.m., 15 minutes before kickoff.
