Spencer man charged for allegedly shooting at DoorDash drivers

SPENCER, W.Va – A man who allegedly shot at Doordash drivers who pulled up to his house faces ten criminal charges, including wanton endangerment.

Officers arrested Larry Epling, 65, of Spencer on Friday, and he was charged with six counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of assault, and two counts of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

Michelle Lowe and William Lowe, both of Spencer, told West Virginia State Police that they took a wrong turn while delivering a DoorDash order and stopped in a long driveway to get directions. That is when they said Epling fired multiple shots at them, one of which struck their vehicle.

Epling is free after posting a $25,000 surety bond.
